This is the step after the last step. After all the cooking and
eating are over, the clean up starts. One of the most important items to clean up is your cooking
oil. If the oil is properly filtered and stored, it may be reused many times. We wait for the oil
to cool down to about 150 - 200 degrees for ease of handling and safety. The oil may be stored in a
cool place, the refrigerator, or even your deep freezer. The critical items that you cannot see are
an ice chest filled with the cold drinks of your choice, and you will not need any extra chairs
because all your friends left when the turkey ran out.
Just a few tips to remember:
Let the oil cool several minutes before you try to filter it.
It will have to cool completely down before using a plastic storage container.
Keep small children & pets away from filtering area.
